Israel, October 12-18, 2009
Mia Farrow, American actress and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, spent 6 days visiting Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank to draw attention to the impact of ongoing conflict on children and their families. Mia spent a day in Sderot and met with children who told her about their experiences living under the constant threat of attack.

Ashdod - A UNICEF & Child Friendly City
The concept of a city friendly to children and to Unicef was born in the summer of 2000. It was the result of a local initiative designed to support the Israel Committee for Unicef's work in the field of education for development, advocacy on behalf of children's rights and fundraising through the sale of Unicef products and other innovative activities.
