Israeli Embassy celebrates Independence Day by donating to orphans
Cambodia, May 2006

On May 9, 2006, Ambassador Yael Rubinstein accompanied by the Israeli embassy staff traveled to Cambodia to celebrate Israel's Independence Day.

Over 150 top ranking officials among them the Royal family has attended the reception which was held in Phnom Penh. The Israeli Ambassador made a gesture and invite also local orphans which treated by a local aid group.


"The event was very exciting for all of the people attending the ceremony" mentioned Ambassador Rubinstein

Ambassador Rubinstein visited the local group's program which is called "Jenine Orphans House" and donated supplies to help improve the living conditions. Among the donated supplies were computers, fax machine, clothes, pillows and toys.

The Jenine Orphans House provides treatment to 100 children which lost their parents to the HIV/AIDS disease. (for pictures please visit www.israaid.org.il)
